The cost of hair transplant depends on the number of grafts needed

How much does a hair transplant cost?

The cost of your hair transplant procedure is determined on a “per graft” basis according to your individual hair replacement needs; that’s why it’s not realistic to provide a final cost online or over the phone.

Instead, we encourage patients to complete the free online contact form or email us directly at [email protected] and attach photos of hair loss from the front hairline, sides and back of the head so the surgeon can provide a rough estimate of cost for you individually. Please make sure the photos are not taken too close to the head and show the whole of the face and head for each shot. This helps the surgeon to gain an easier understanding of the area that needs to be covered and the existing density. The photos are kept completely confidential between you and the surgeon.

The surgeon will determine your plan and the cost of hair transplant based on:

  • – Hair loss you’ve experienced so far
  • – Amount of donor hair available
  • – Characteristics of your donor hair (texture, color, curl, etc.)
  • – Your desired results

To gain some idea of how much it is likely to be, an average male hair loss patient can expect to need 1500-4000 follicular units transplanted. The cost per graft (follicular unit which can be multiple strands) is $10.
