Bülent Yaprak FEBOPRAS
Bülent trained in plastic surgery at Istanbul University Medical Faculty — one of the world's leading plastic surgery training centres — before moving to New Zealand with his Kiwi wife and family. He worked for over a decade as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Waikato Hospital, including two years as Clinical Director for the Plastic Surgery Department.
He has been in full-time private practice since January 2024, seeing patients at the Waikato Specialist Centre in Hamilton. He holds the FEBOPRAS qualification — Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons — which is recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand as equivalent to FRACS.
He attends international conferences annually and has undertaken observerships with leading surgeons in Istanbul, Paris, Washington, Louisville, and El Paso to keep his techniques at the forefront of the specialty.
